 Provides support services to the Minister in respect of the duties and responsibilities of the Minister under the relevant provisions in the Posts and Telecommunications Decree 1989 (the P&T Decree 1989) on matters relating to posts and telecommunications.

Support services include:

* the provision of policy advice to the Minister

* provision of ministerial support services

* administration of operating licences

* administration of radio communication licences

* radio operators certification

* approval of telecommunications contractors

* telecommunications equipment licensing service

* telecommunications inspection services

* allocation of radio frequencies.
